Usually mistaken with bamboo, rattan is a natural fibre coming from a palm tree which mainly grows up in Asia.  This palm tree offers a liana which, without its bark give the purest essence of the material to create your furniture.  Those lianas can reach amazing length, sometimes even more than 100 meters.

Once without its bark, the liana has a full-cylinder form. The liana will be handled in a vapor furnace to give the shape you are looking for.  Rattan is easy to modulate, its modified shape is usually curved.

Later, rattan is working through process stages and different modifying phases to have the final product, rigid and robust. Rattan is a noble material, which keeps its natural shape and at the same time, offering a high rate of resistance and comfort.
